The interview process was pretty standard and laid out clearly. There were three main interview rounds, and then a final screening. I spoke with the recruiter, the hiring manager, and also HR. It was a good, professional, and helpful discussion, mainly asking about my skills and past experiences. It all felt pretty quick and easy to understand, like a typical company hiring process, nothing too complicated or stressful.

The interview process was straightforward and transparent. It included rounds with the HR manager, the team I'd be working with, and leadership. They were quick and efficient with their responses, and I always felt informed. I received real-time feedback during the interviews and had plenty of chances to ask questions and chat casually.

Behavioral Presentation

The interview process seemed thought out and well-run at first. The internal acquisition lead was nice and professional during the first interview. Everyone I spoke with kept saying how great the culture was. After I finished all the interviews and was a final candidate, the acquisition lead reached out on their own to say I'd get an update the next week. But, that update never happened. I tried to reach out for more information but got no response and was totally ghosted. This happened in November and now it's clear they never planned to follow up. No matter how the hiring decision turns out, not telling final candidates anything is a sign of a broken process and just basic unprofessionalism. For a company hiring for a communications role, the damage to their reputation from this silence should be obvious.

The interviews were pretty good. The first one was with two regional business managers. My recruitment agency gave me good prep and advice beforehand about the kinds of questions to expect. The second interview was with the national sales manager and an HR manager. This second one wasn't as tough as the first; it felt more like a formality. I got an offer two days after the second interview, but I turned it down because I got a better salary offer elsewhere.
