First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Kura Revolving Sushi Bar.
Server
It was a pretty standard interview for a server position. They asked about my availability, my previous experience, and if I could work nights that I wasn't already scheduled for. They also threw in some critical thinking questions, like asking me to describe the taste of salmon and tuna to customers.
- Can you describe the taste of salmon to a guest?
Cleaner
it was good and quick, though I was nervous as in any interview because I didn't know what they would ask me or if I would answer well, but everything was fine during the interview, the person made me feel comfortable,
- Do you have experience in food, cleaning, and customer service areas?
Restaurant General Manager
The interview process was pretty standard for a company, but they were super quick with their responses. You submit your resume and they screen it. If you get past that, there are three interviews. First, a phone interview. Second, you interview with the Regional Manager. Lastly, you have a final interview with the Director.
- Do you have knowledge of Japanese Food Culture?
Line Cook
I thought this was for a full time position, as advertised on Indeed. But the interviewer said they don't have full time roles because they don't want to offer benefits. They said they'd give me more than part-time hours, but keep me listed as part-time to avoid giving benefits.
- Tell me about your experience.
- What is your current job position?
