I applied online via Indeed and got a call from HR at KL&A within 2 days to set up a 30-minute HR interview. After that, they sent over a 3-hour tech assessment.

The whole process was really smooth and easygoing, everyone was super nice. It took about a month from the first chat to getting the offer. I'd totally suggest applying if you're interested!

Started with a phone screening with HR, then a phone interview with HR and a Sr BA. The final step was a 3-hour on-site panel interview with HR, a BA, a PM, and an Associate. The first two steps were easy, and a 3rd party recruiter helped speed things up. The final interview was tough but fair, mostly a mock JAD session. My struggle there was due to informal Agile experience at a previous job. I'd rate my JAD session a C+, hoping my soft skills would land me the offer. I was told I'd hear early the next week after the Thursday interview. Monday morning, the recruiter called with good news about an offer, but it was less than hoped. Later Monday, I hadn't received anything, and the recruiter said KL&A was busy with paperwork. Tuesday morning, I followed up again and was told the same thing. Tuesday afternoon, the recruiter called back and said no offer after all. I would have considered it a good experience if I was initially told they went with another candidate. But being told I was getting an offer and then not is very unprofessional. The recruiter mentioned I might be a better fit for future roles and that this position needed someone fast. I likely won't consider KL&A again because of how I was treated.

I met with some awesome employees from KL&A at their University job fair booth. They made me feel welcome and were upfront about the internship, what they could provide, and what I would learn. We discussed their company's offerings and my current skills. They were understanding and helped arrange a full-time internship that would alternate between working with them for several months and attending school for several months. I'll be starting my internship there soon.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • They didn't do anything unexpected; they were honest and open, cutting out all the "BS." They were genuine and respectable.
