Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Kumon.
Intern
It was very basic, the interviewer was very helpful and attentive. The interview was based on a conversation and later a Kumon leveling test to determine our level and which students we can help.
- Could you elaborate on your experiences?
- Tell me about how you would handle situations with students who are not paying attention.
- What would you do if students are misbehaving in the classroom?
Intern
Eu achei o processo seletivo bom. Primeiro eu passei por uma entrevista simples e depois fui chamada para voltar a empresa e passar um dia trabalhando com eles.
- Ela perguntou acerca da disponibilidade de horário
- se tinha experiência
- se sabia inglês
Intern
The selection process was slow, but that was only because my interviewer was disorganized. My interview was scheduled during class time and the interviewer, who apparently was also the coordinator and the only teacher present. So, I waited for almost four hours to answer some basic questions about myself and to complete some English exercises. After the test was over, the interviewer/coordinator/teacher corrected it in front of me, comparing my results with those of other participants.
- Are you familiar with the Kumon method?
