First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Kuhl-Linscomb.
Accounting Assistant
The interview was pretty casual, the owner told me not to worry about the dress code. I met with two owners, the CFO, and an accounting manager all together. They mostly wanted to know more about me and went into detail about my background. After that, they described the job responsibilities and asked for my thoughts.
- What is your motivation for pursuing a career in accounting?
Sales Associate
I met with the owners, who were really nice. We talked for about 20 minutes. They asked about my experience and if I was interested in a specific role they had in mind. I was hoping for something else, but I was open to starting with something smaller. They're looking for people who are reliable, usually college-educated, and work hard.
- As you walk around the store, point out any areas that catch your eye and would be of interest for you to work in.
Sales
It was pretty chill. I chatted with the owners about the job and my skills. I also met some of the people I'd be working with, and they asked me about my background too. We walked around the store so I could see all the products.
- Can you tell me about your past sales experience?
- What was your previous salary?
- Describe your ability to handle stress.
Supply Chain Manager
It was a pretty chill interview! We did a walk-through of the store and they told me a bit about how they got started. Afterwards, I sat down with the owners and the main buyer. We chatted about the day-to-day tasks of the role and they got to know me better.
- What makes you prefer a small business environment over a large corporation?
