First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at KT CONSULTING.
Lead Generation Specialist
The interviewer was super professional and made me feel really comfortable the whole time. They started off by explaining the job, what the company is looking for, and how the interview would go, which was great for setting the stage for our chat.
- Can you walk me through your experience?
- What about your English skills?
Director
This was a really straightforward process. You'll have a one-on-one chat with the hiring manager to see if they're keen on bringing you on board. After that, the hiring manager will loop in the company President who will then sort out the job offer details with you.
- Even though the job is remote, are you open to traveling about 15-20% of the time for client work?
Program Manager
The interview process was pretty standard. It started with a pre-interview with my current company, who is a subcontractor to KTC. Then, I moved on to speak with who would be my boss. The questions were standard.
- What makes you a better choice than Mr. X?
Intern
I was contacted via LinkedIn by someone new to the company. The interview was late on a Friday, and with a start date so close, I overlooked it. It was odd that there was no company signage. I spent a lot of time trying to negotiate my pay. They didn't ask about my background and seemed to think my experience would be a negative. My soft skills weren't seen as transferable. I found it concerning when asked what I'd bring to the company and they dismissed my answer of hard work and dedication. When I asked about desirable team characteristics, the owner mentioned 'karma,' which seemed like a cop-out. The owner suggested checking Glassdoor, claiming negative reviews are from ex-employees. The sexual harassment and poor work-life balance issues on Glassdoor were not discussed. Given the strange interview, urgent start, and reviews, it's questionable what a new hire gains.
- Are you aware that you lack experience in crafting government resumes?
- Can you describe your method for recruiting candidates on LinkedIn?
