The interview was over the phone and it was simple. I was asked typical interview questions where I had to discuss my past experiences and explain how they fit with the company.

I got an email from the executive assistant asking me for the best time for a phone screen for a job opportunity. I had the phone screen. I contacted them about the next steps. I came in for an in-person interview. I asked questions. I got no response about the next steps.

The interview process is based on Geoff Smart's "Who" methodology. It requires candidates to prove they've performed the job before, be open about their strengths and areas where they can improve. Avoid presenting a strength as a weakness, as that's a red flag; they value honesty. The process starts with an administrator screening, followed by interviews with the managing director, the CMO, and finally the founder/CEO. The CMO focused more on analytical skills, while the CEO assessed fit with accounts, clients, and the team. A personality assessment called "Zero Risk" was administered online. It was an unusual test, but it was helpful because it accurately reflected personality traits relevant to culture and skill alignment, and I got the job.

I had my interview in May 2020. It involved two calls, both were pretty laid back and not nerve-wracking. The interviewers were really nice and seemed genuinely interested in learning about me and my background. Much of the interview time was spent with them explaining the company, their own career paths, and their day-to-day responsibilities, all to help me understand how I might fit into the team.
