First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Kronos.
Qualitative Engineer
The interview process included a recruiter call, followed by a technical screen and an onsite interview. There were a few questions about the company, my background, and some technical questions in C++ and LeetCode.
- Regarding Modern C++, do you know about templates and their mechanisms?
- Can you explain the C++ STL mechanism, specifically vector's push_back versus emplace_back?
- Can you solve two LeetCode medium questions related to sorting colors and O(1) array insertion?
Consultant
Kronos Group reached out to me through an Indian recruiting firm about a similar role a few months prior. After more than 4 months of interviews (phone, video conference, case study, etc.), I had over 5 different contacts, many of whom left without notice. The company's director called me for a final interview and wanted me to travel to Brussels (over 1000km round trip) for just one hour. They didn't mention salary before this meeting, likely to get me to accept whatever they offered. I declined the trip because they apparently don't cover expenses (referencing Google reviews where one candidate was only reimbursed 50% instead of 100%). Save yourself time and avoid this company. Note: The numerous 5-star Google reviews seem to be from current or former employees, some with financial ties. I would strongly advise against this opportunity.
- Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Procurement Consultant
The interview process began with a short HR interview, followed by a detailed technical and HR interview, a business case, a reference assessment, and a personality assessment test. Initially, the process was efficient and communication was clear. However, after I cleared all rounds and they mentioned they were looking for a client, communication completely stopped from their end. Despite several follow-ups, there was complete silence, which I found unprofessional, as even a rejection should be communicated. The worst part is that they reached out to my reference for the same position after interviewing me and saying I cleared all rounds.
- What challenges have you faced in your previous roles?
- What's prompting your job search at this particular time?
- What makes you interested in working for Kronos?
Recruiter
First interview with the recruiting team (phone): typical questions about current salary, availability + presentation of CV and previous roles. Second interview with the recruiting team (phone): more detailed explanation of the job content + questions about accomplishments in previous roles. Third interview at the company with different people to optimize the trip with different tests. The hiring was fast and matches what was presented to me and the mission is very enriching.
- Can you describe a difficult professional situation you experienced and how you felt about it?
