The company requires five rounds of interviews for the role, and it took over a month to receive any feedback. Recruiters do not proactively reach out with updates, leaving candidates to chase for information. Even when I followed up for feedback, the recruiter seemed indifferent and took me for granted. It took over 30 to 45 days to receive feedback and the response I got was, “WE NO LONGER NEED THAT POSITION AS THE WORK HAS BEEN MANAGED BY ANOTHER TEAM INTERNALLY.” My question is, why was the job opening posted on job portals if you don't actually require someone to fill the role?

The first interview round was pretty straightforward. The second one, however, was a terrible experience. The interviewer was really unpleasant and sexist. They flat-out told me I didn't have any reason to be applying for the job and that I wouldn't be offered the position.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • A technical question related to compliance was posed. When I answered confidently, the interviewer questioned my certainty and then sarcastically suggested I use the computer to find the answer and read it back.
  • Are you sure?
  • Why don't you look up the answer on the computer and read it to me?

I went through 3 rounds of interviews. The interviewers were progressively more senior, and I met them either one-on-one or in pairs. About half the questions were technical, to gauge my knowledge, and the other half were situational/personality-based, to see if I'd fit in with the company culture.

  • Can you explain general fund structures and operations?
