I spoke with the person who would be my direct boss over Zoom for two interviews. The first was a basic intro chat where they asked why I wanted the job and then they explained the role. The second interview was more of a deep dive into the first conversation. It was a casual chat where I asked about the job, how things were done now, and shared my own experience and thoughts.

I sent my resume after seeing the job on their website. The next day, the manager called me, we chatted briefly, and scheduled an in-person interview for the following week. I interviewed with the department manager and met the team. Then, they scheduled a second interview for the week after with her supervisor. Last week, I met with the person above the manager. Both interviews were engaging, and they seemed genuinely enthusiastic about Kripalu. I answered some questions about my background, my interest in the company, and how I could contribute to the team.

I sent two resumes over, but they didn't get back to me for ages on the first one. So I sent another one, this time with a local address, and they called me pretty much immediately. After that, they checked out all my references. Eventually, I got a letter saying I was accepted. The next step involved giving three to four massages to the management in the Healing Arts Department. This whole process felt outdated. It was a bit weird because they expected me to perform the Kripalu signature massage without any prior training in their specific styles. I even had to pay a senior therapist to get a session with them.

I interviewed for a position that I'd previously held. The role ended up going to someone new who had connections, despite me having a lot of valuable in-house experience. HR told me I wasn't 'boastful enough' in my interview. After three years in my old role, I hadn't received a raise and was instead given more responsibilities with no chance for advancement in my department. I was looking to move back to a department where I felt valued and respected.
