Product Manager
The whole thing was pretty professional and organized. It kicked off with a recruiter chat about my background and if I'd be a good fit. Then, I had a 45-minute chat with the hiring manager about my experience and if I'd vibe with the team. Next up was a 45-minute interview with someone at the same level, focusing more on the nitty-gritty skills and actual examples from my past work. After that, there was a home assignment, a business case study relevant to the job. They laid out the task clearly, telling me what to focus on but leaving the format up to me. I had 7 days to complete it, which felt like enough time. The last stage was discussing this case study with the hiring manager and two senior folks. They already knew my work, so we just jumped into talking about it instead of a formal presentation. The questions were about the finer points, my reasoning, and the trade-offs involved, and then some more questions about my experience and if I'd fit the culture. After this last interview, it took about a week to hear back about the decision and another week for the offer to come through. Oh, and the recruiter was great, keeping me in the loop with updates and feedback all the way.

Product Manager
I went through an interview process that included a chat with the hiring manager and the head of the department. After that, there was a take-home task, followed by a final interview. I made it to the final round, but I already know I didn't get the job, which is a bummer. Honestly, it was the most awful interview experience I've ever had. The hiring manager started laughing during my whole hour-long presentation just three minutes in. This completely threw me off and my mind went blank, making it nearly impossible to answer any questions after that.

Product Manager
I talked to the recruiter who said they'd set up a call with the hiring manager, but then I never heard back. I noticed there don't seem to be many female Product Managers at this company on LinkedIn. The recruiter mentioned I didn't seem experienced enough and would probably be offered a Junior PM role at a lower salary. However, they also described the expectations for the role as knowing everything and being able to set everything up, which doesn't sound like a junior role. It felt a bit condescending. The recruiter did explain what to expect next and how to prepare for a case study, though I never received one.
