First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Kraken Digital Asset Exchange.
Senior Copywriter
I had four rounds: HR, coworker, bosses, and a take-home test. After the take-home test, I received an offer. I chose to meet with the team again because I was worried about taking a new job, and they were more than happy to help. When I finally felt comfortable, I accepted the role.
- They asked me to do a take-home test.
Copywriter
I put in my application online and heard back pretty quickly, like two days later, to set up an initial chat. I got that scheduled, and then had a call with one of their recruiters not long after. She was really nice and it seemed to go well. She mentioned another recruiter would be in touch to schedule the second round. I actually had to follow up with that second recruiter twice before they finally got back to me a few days later. Then I had my second interview with their new CMO. He asked me about my previous jobs and what I thought of Kraken and the whole blockchain scene. One question kind of threw me off though, he compared Kraken to Ben & Jerry's in the blockchain world and asked how I'd suggest getting that message out. It wasn't my strongest interview, but at the end he mentioned he's hiring for a bunch of roles, including a head of content, and that it would take a bit to hear back. Okay, makes sense... then it literally took one day, because I got rejected the next day. I don't really mind getting turned down, that happens a lot these days, but it would've been nice to have a bit more honesty and transparency instead of just an automated rejection email. It's tough to learn and get better when you don't get any real feedback. Looking at recent reviews, maybe I missed out on a bad situation.
- Considering Kraken is like the Ben & Jerry's of blockchain, how would you promote that message?
- What needs to happen for blockchain to become widely adopted?
Content Writer
The interview process was pretty quick and easy after I applied. The interviewer was really nice and professional, and they got back to me quickly on emails. The questions were pretty standard for a Content Writer role.
- What makes you want to work at Kraken?
