Technical Other

It was a pretty standard small talk interview, where I met the principals and got a quick look around the office. The office itself seemed unremarkable, and the employees I saw didn't appear particularly cheerful during the tour. After the interview and tour, they surprised me with a quiz. I completed their test, and the receptionist took it and then showed me out. The whole procedure felt a bit odd. I received an offer that was less than $50k annually, so I decided not to move forward.

Behavioral Technical

So I applied online and then got an email from an associate to set up a phone interview. That first one didn't have any technical stuff, just questions about my interests, what projects I'm into, how I work, and my career goals, you know? I waited a few weeks without hearing back, but then they emailed me to fly in for an in-person interview. That one involved meeting with project managers. The first part was still regular interview questions, and the second part got into the technical side.

Behavioral Technical

The interview process was pretty straightforward and not too complex. I spoke with a few different managers. They asked some typical questions and I also had to complete a quiz. The quiz wasn't hard if you know structural design and seismic design well. I actually enjoyed the interview. I got invited for a second interview, but I had already decided to go with another company.

  • What are your career aspirations for the next five years?
