Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at KPFF.
Intern
The hiring process was really pleasant, everyone I talked to was super nice. It took about two months to wrap up, and there were two main interview rounds. Each round involved talking with about 4-5 engineers. The interviews weren't overly difficult, and there weren't any technical questions asked.
- Can you elaborate on the experiences listed in your resume?
- How would you handle specific workplace scenarios?
Intern
The interview process was long but thorough. You'll meet other office associates and answer technical questions about basic design concepts and structural analysis. Everyone there is very nice and professional. They make you feel welcome. The office was nice and clean.
- Can you tell me about your knowledge of concrete?
- Can you tell me about your knowledge of steel?
Intern
I had a phone interview for the internship. It was pretty chill, not scary at all. Two people talked to me for about 45 minutes. They asked about my past work and school stuff, and also some general engineering questions.
- Can you explain the difference between a moment frame and a braced frame?
