Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Kotak Mahindra Bank.
Sales Manager
The interview process had 3 rounds. The first was an aptitude test, which cut 50% of the candidates. The second was a group discussion, which eliminated the other half. The final round was a face-to-face interview where they asked if I owned a two-wheeler for sales activities. My prior NBFC experience made it easy, and they saw my value as others from campus didn't have it. I was chosen out of 5 other guys.
- Is owning a two-wheeler something you do?
- Do you have previous employment history?
- How would you respond if another company presented you with a job offer that included a promotion, a salary increase, and a position in a more desirable location?
Sales Manager
Interviewed in 2007. Focused on past experience, achievements, and market reach and knowledge.
- Can you discuss your previous work experience?
- What are some of your key accomplishments?
- What can you tell me about your market reach and knowledge?
Sales Manager
Had my first interview with the Area Sales Manager. They asked me to talk about myself and also about the basics of the Stock Market, its regulations, and current Market trends. The second interview was with the Zonal Sales Manager. They inquired about my previous salary and my former company, and also asked about Stock Market and Mutual fund basics.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- Could you name the regulatory authority governing the Stock Market?
- What do Sensex and Nifty represent?
