First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Korn Ferry.

The interviews happened on weekends. There were 3 interviews in total, and a case study followed the interviews. The interviews were alright, though having a case study after interviewing with a partner felt a bit out of order.
- Could you share some basic details about your professional background?

I applied for the New Grad Program in Dallas. My first interview was with the Recruiting Manager, where I was asked about my preferred division (Korn Ferry, Future Step, or Hay Group). I picked Hay Group and they set up a WebEx interview with two people for the next week. I also had to do a one-hour personality test. The week after that, I had a phone call with a Senior Client Partner. The Recruiting Manager called me again the next week for one last interview. I talked to someone in Chicago and got an offer the very next day. Expect 2-3 behavioral questions each time. Everything else was about my resume and future goals. Everyone was very professional and nice.
- Can you describe a challenging situation you've faced professionally, detailing your approach, actions, the result, any lessons learned, and its relevance to your current role?
- Tell me about a difficult situation you had, how you handled it, what you did, what happened in the end, what you learned, and if you can use this skill in your current job.

Started with a phone interview with HR, which was nice. Then a face-to-face meeting with the hiring manager, but it was mostly him talking about the business and team, not really an interview for me. I barely got to speak or share my experience. After about 40 mins, I asked if he had questions, and he said no. This felt dismissive. After that, HR called to set up a video interview with the manager and two others, and also told me to do an online Talent Q assessment and a behavioral questionnaire. The next day, HR called again saying the interview was cancelled because they found someone with an HR/psychology background and the manager found grammar errors in my CV. My experience didn't seem to matter. HR offered to help improve my CV. It's strange how the manager didn't decide before the meeting, wasting everyone's time, especially for a recruiting company.
- Take the Talent Q assessment which includes numerical, logical, and verbal questions.
- Complete a behavioural questionnaire.
