First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Korman Communities.
Manager
The interview process was quick and the interviewer was friendly, but they spent a lot of time discussing tenants in a gossipy way, which I didn't like. I've never enjoyed places like that or having to heavily sell a property that should sell itself, especially one that's supposedly luxury.
- What are your unique qualifications that would help you succeed where others might not?
Brand Communications Specialist
It was a long process with many steps. First, I applied online. Then, I had a phone call with HR/recruiter. After that, there was a zoom interview with the direct supervisor. Finally, I had an in-person interview with the Senior VP. They also unexpectedly gave me writing samples; I had to edit a press release and then answer three prompts on a laptop. They didn't give me much time for the writing prompts.
- Tell me about why you selected your major.
- Which book do you like the most?
- What's your preferred learning style?
Marketing
I went through 5 interviews for this position, which took about 2 months. Everyone I talked to was really professional and nice. The only bummer was hearing I was highly recommended multiple times and then having to wait a bit, only to find out the role was already filled. Still, I learned a lot and it seems like a cool company.
- Describe a situation where you had to juggle long-term goals with urgent short-term tasks. How did you decide what to do first, and what happened as a result?
Front Desk Agent
I met with the resident services manager and the general manager for two interviews. They were both very nice and asked straightforward questions. They asked if I knew the Oscar system, which I didn't, but it wasn't too hard to learn on the job. The interview process was good overall.
- Have you previously worked in a hotel environment?
