Technical Designer
A recruiter got in touch, then set up a virtual meeting. After getting a job offer by phone, I asked for an in-person tour, and they were super accommodating. They gave me a clear idea of what my job would be and where I'd work. Everyone I met was nice and welcoming, even though I hadn't accepted or turned down the offer yet. I eventually decided the job wasn't a good fit for my future plans, as I'd be moving in a few years and didn't want to be unfair.
- Can you tell me about your experience and knowledge regarding the creation of tech packs?
Digital Merchandising Specialist
I applied on 8/26 and heard back from the recruiter on Tuesday about setting up a phone screen. We did the phone screen on 8/29, and it seemed to go well. The recruiter mentioned they liked me and that even though they are new to the role, they wouldn't have reached out if they didn't think I had the skills. They said I'd hear back on 9/3 due to the holiday and how quickly the manager gets things done. I haven't heard anything since then. I emailed them on 9/4 and 9/15 to check if the job was still open, but got no response. It's really frustrating and unprofessional to interview people and then not give any updates. This is my 7th application with them, and the only one I've gotten a response for.
- When faced with multiple tasks needing completion around the same time, how do you decide what to tackle first?
Social Media Coordinator
So, I applied for this Social Media Coordinator role and the initial recruiter call mentioned three rounds, but it ended up being five rounds total, including a big assignment that had four parts. The whole thing took over a month. Four business days after my last interview, I got a call saying they were moving on with other candidates. Before that, the hiring manager called to tell me I didn't get the job. They asked if I was serious about moving for the job, and I was, but I was really hoping to start remote so I could find a place and get settled without rushing. They said no to remote work because they have a strict policy of working 4 days in the office at their Greensboro location and only gave me about 4 weeks to relocate. I saw some Glassdoor reviews about how the company treats employees and noticed a lot of internal changes, which they even brought up twice during my interviews, making me kinda hesitant.
- Could you share your background and experience with me?
- What's your approach to managing negative comments on social media?
Graphic Designer
I waited some time to leave this review to give them the benefit of the doubt but one month should be enough. I had a good first interview with HR. It was laid back and very nice. I was told I would have heard back from them between 2 to 3 business days. Despite writing a follow up e-mail to ask for updates, I never heard back from them. So sad because it was a great job offer and I would have 100% taken it. Even if your profile is not eventually chosen to fill the role, I believe at least a "yes or no" should be mandatory, especially after a first interview.
- Would you be open to relocating for this position?
