Program Analyst
The interview process was great and went smoothly. I was asked about my technical background and previous experience that aligned with the role. The Hiring Manager was awesome and clear about the role expectations, the client, and the day-to-day responsibilities.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Knowledge Manager
This was one of the best interviews I've ever had. I think being well-prepared made a big difference. We spent a full 30 minutes just getting to know each other, talking about my work history, and discussing my skills and qualifications.
- How do you handle situations with competing priorities?
Grant Applications Specialist
The process involved a 30-minute screener call with a recruiter, followed by a panel interview the next week. That same week, I also completed a short, unpaid assessment. The recruiter initially emphasized KGS's transparency throughout the hiring process. After I submitted my assessment, the hiring manager confirmed receipt, but then communication stopped. I followed up with the recruiter a week later and was told they were 'still reviewing.' Weeks went by, and I eventually checked the applicant portal to find I had been rejected, without any notification email or feedback on my assessment. Later, the hiring manager emailed me, acting as if she hadn't seen my resume before, and suggested I apply for a proposal role that was significantly below my experience level. I replied, explaining my negative experience and asked not to be considered for future opportunities.
- Can you share an instance where you had to handle several conflicting priorities?
Lab Technician
The first step of the interview was easy and inviting. The second step involved a deep dive into my resume. Despite the Lab Technician title, the role is really that of an associate scientist, with all the responsibilities that entails.
- Can you explain what polymers are?
- What is pH?
