First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Kona Ice.
Truck Driver
The interview part is not bad at all. Basically, if you're invited to interview, you just need to show up and show you can drive the truck.
- Were there any trick questions, or more like personality-based ones?
Driver
It was a pretty quick interview, just one part. They asked basic things about when I'm free and about my driving background. The main focus was on the training for driving the Kona Ice Truck.
- What's your approach to working in high-pressure situations?
Sales Associate
After I applied online, they reached out to me. We set up an interview, I went in for it, and then they called me back within a few days to schedule a time to come in and start the training. That's when they showed me how to drive the trucks, make the flavors, and stock them.
- Can you tell me about your work ethic?
- What relevant experience do you have?
- What do you like to do in your free time?
Manager
First, there's a phone interview which is basically a screen to see if you're a good fit. They'll reach out if they want to move forward. Then, an in-person interview happens, which is pretty chill and relaxed, but you should still get ready for it.
- Is your transportation reliable?
