First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Kompan.
Talent Acquisition Manager
The recruiter wasn't upfront about salary and was really pushing to offer me a lowball amount. They said there wasn't a salary range, and when I told them my requirement, they just said 'that's too high.' It's kinda telling about an employer's values when they aren't transparent about salary ranges. After our interview, the recruiter didn't even bother to follow up.

Student Assistant
The interview process was quick and pleasant. I was invited for a one-hour in-person interview at their Odense headquarters, where two interviewers met with me. Unfortunately, I didn't get the job in the end, which was a bit disappointing, but these things happen. Denmark, and Odense specifically, is quite competitive and perhaps a bit too small for English speakers.

Pre Sales Coordinator
Kompan reached out via email for a phone screen, which was a standard call with a recruiter for about 20-30 minutes. They mentioned the whole process would be four interviews. A few days later, I was invited for a second interview at their Austin office. This interview was over an hour long and with the hiring manager for Pre Sales. We discussed the position details and Kompan's future goals. It started with me explaining my background and what I'm seeking as a recent graduate. I highlighted how my degree aligns with the role, and it seemed like they were happy with my skills. I felt optimistic about moving forward. Unfortunately, I wasn't scheduled for a third interview. I emailed the recruiter to thank the hiring manager, and the recruiter said they'd pass the message and let me know by the end of the week who was moving on. I didn't hear back for over ten days, so I followed up. The recruiter then said they had hired someone. I find it hard to believe they could fit two more interviews in that timeframe. I suspect someone referred may have gotten the job and they just went through the motions. They wasted my time and didn't keep their word. I thought the hiring manager would understand my situation as a recent grad struggling to find a start, but Kompan seems hesitant to take chances on new grads. The position is still advertised as urgent, making me suspect they're not being truthful. My experience serves as a warning if you consider applying. The salary range is also mediocre for Austin, so I'd steer clear.

Inside Sales Representative
The interview was with the HR recruiter and someone from inside sales. It wasn't a tough interview, but it lacked transparency, as they didn't mention salary range or conditions. What I find important to highlight is that after an hour-long interview, for which I had to get permission from my current job to attend, they didn't even have the respect to tell me "no". I find this a total lack of professionalism and respect from Jose Gijon, not even sending an automated email to say "no". Total ghosting. Well said, I'm thankful I wasn't hired by this company, as they show from the start that they don't care about candidates.
