First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Kognitiv.
Director
I applied online and it was a very smooth process. There were 3 rounds: HR, the hiring manager, and a regional strategy exercise that I had to present to the hiring manager and another colleague. The talent was amazing.
- Develop and present a full regional strategy.
MLOps Engineer
The interview process started with an HR screening, followed by a meeting with the Hiring Manager. After that, there was a take-home challenge, and then a technical interview. I ended up withdrawing my application before further stages, so I don't know what came next. The people I spoke with were great, but the coordination with Kognitive was a bit messy with constantly changing availability and meeting times, which led me to withdraw.
- Can you describe your background in MLOps?
- Tell me about your experience using k8s.
Application Manager
I had an initial screener, then a round with the hiring manager, followed by a team round, and finally a round with senior leadership. They gave me an offer after the SLT round. I countered, and then got ghosted for two weeks. After that, I heard back with their final offer, which I accepted. Then I was ghosted again for a week, and then told a reorg had closed the position.
- Can you share an instance where you managed a hypercare situation?
Strategy and Planning Manager
After completing a take-home assignment and a presentation, I was ghosted. I invested significant effort into both, and the presentation interview seemed to go well, with interviewers expressing satisfaction and indicating positive feedback, yet I received no follow-up despite multiple emails to HR, a recruiting partner, and the hiring manager. While I value the learning from the case study, the lack of communication after considerable effort suggests a disrespectful approach to candidates, potentially reflecting how employees are treated.
- Tell me about your career aspirations.
- Discuss your strengths and weaknesses.
- Can you share your experience related to technical questions?
