Software Engineer
I got an OA with 3 sections. One coding challenge was relevant to the job description, but the other two didn't match the skills/background required. Compared to other MLE/AS jobs at big companies, this place seems to value familiarity with data science tools like SQL and Pandas more. Even though they list a lot of requirements in math/physics/CV, none of that showed up in their OA.
- Could you write pandas code to handle some data manipulation tasks?
- Review the provided front-end/back-end code (e.g., Django) and offer your comments.
Financial Analyst
I applied through my college's job portal for an internship position. The firm was new to internships, so I helped formalize the process. HR responded quickly, asking me to wait for resume review. After review, they called to schedule an interview, providing details about the interviewers whose impressive profiles were initially intimidating. On the interview day, a very kind representative escorted me to the room. There were two interviews: one with the team I would report to, and another with HR. The lead interviewer meticulously reviewed my resume, asking questions about my background, the company, the role, and my expectations. They focused on understanding my knowledge of terms I'd listed, showing genuine interest rather than trying to find fault. Everyone asked relevant questions about the position and my resume, focusing on my merits. Finance questions mostly related to my projects and relevant part-time jobs. The HR interview assessed my clarity of purpose, job expectations, and openness about strengths and weaknesses. She also explained the post-offer formalities. I received a verbal offer within a week, followed by the official letter.
- Most difficult questions were about accounting.
- Some Excel related terms that I had mentioned in my resume.
- My knowledge of ERP.
Supply Chain Logistics Consultant
I got this job through a temp agency. They mentioned I would meet with four people at the same time to speed things up instead of talking to them one by one. Everyone was nice, and it was a good interview. Since I just graduated, they asked me about my extracurriculars and some typical interview questions. One question was about how past experiences helped me solve a future problem.
- Can you describe a situation where a past difficult experience aided you in handling a future problem?
- Tell me about your involvement in extracurricular activities.
- How did your previous experience assist you in addressing a problem that arose later?
Administrative Assistant
First, you gotta fill out an application online. Then, a recruiter will ring you up for a phone chat. If they dig your vibe, you'll meet the supervisors in person at their office. It all happens pretty quick. The supervisors and recruiter were cool and got back to me fast.
- What are your concerns about this role?
- What year did you finish college?
