The interview process was good. I was interviewed twice for the position, and it was usually conducted online. The interview was engaging. You should know basic QA tools. They asked about my projects from my studies in QA, and there will be some common questions too.

The interview process was well-organized and moved quickly, with the recruiter keeping me in the loop. First, there was a Recruiter Screen (about 30 minutes) where we had a relaxed chat about my background, why I was interested in this position, and if I understood what OneMain does. The recruiter also laid out the rest of the interview steps and the expected timeline. After that, I had an interview with the Hiring Manager (around 45 minutes). This involved a mix of questions about my past behavior and strategic thinking. They asked about my experience in data analysis, how I've built models, and instances of working with different teams. The manager also wanted to hear my thoughts on tackling certain growth issues related to the subprime lending industry. It felt more like a genuine conversation than an interrogation.

The interview process itself was going well, but things took a turn when the job offer came in. They offered me a position with the title 'Advanced Manufacturing Engineer II,' which was a step down from what I initially interviewed for ('Senior Manufacturing Engineer II'). I felt blindsided by this because it seemed like they thought I needed more training.

I came in for a full day of interviews for an algorithm engineer role. The day started with a presentation, and then I had a series of one-on-one interviews. The questions were primarily technical, focusing on estimation, which was manageable, along with some questions to gauge my fit for the team. While it was challenging at times, I never felt like the interviewers were trying to trick me. I also had the chance to meet and speak with the team I would be joining, as well as managers from related departments.
