Behavioral Presentation

I was really hoping to move forward. I had two interviews: the first was with HR, and the second was with the hiring manager and marketing lead. The second interview was a bit strange though. The VP of marketing had to leave partway through and had the other person finish the interview even though she was supposed to be there. They mentioned they were going on vacation the next week and would get back to me. It's been a month now and I haven't heard anything. I really thought I had a shot, but I guess the recent mergers are affecting hiring and other things at the company. I'm pretty disappointed.

The interview process was very impersonal and inefficient. I was invited to provide my availability for an HR screening. I offered that, but received no response. I followed up and was never given any reply or explanation, but an appointment was set up. The HR rep was incredibly robotic and showed zero emotion. It was clear I was boring her. All her questions felt like they came straight from feeding the job description into AI. She had her camera off, which made the interview incredibly awkward. I had to request a follow-up over a week after the HR screening.

I got an email for an initial screening with HR, then the next week I had my next round with two team managers. It seemed to go well, I thought I did a really good job, but they ended up emailing me to say they chose other candidates.

I had an initial screening over Zoom where they asked basic questions to see if I was a good fit. The interviewer was nice and professional and made me feel comfortable. Then, I had a phone interview with the hiring manager, which also went really well. She asked and answered a lot of good questions and was very open.
