Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Knoll.
Sales Support
I had a telephone interview with the recruiter, then two more interviews. The first was with another team member and the second was with the Manager. All three of these were really positive and friendly. A few days after talking to the manager, I was told it was really close between me and someone else. Then, about a week after that manager interview, I got an email saying that while it was very close, they decided to go with the other candidate because they thought he was a better fit for the team.
- What is your motivation for wanting to join our company?
- Could you please introduce yourself?
- What makes you want to change your current role?
Sales Representative
A recruiter from Knoll reached out about this job. They did a quick screen, asked about my background, and then I was set up to interview with the Regional Manager. I thought the conversation went well and that I had the right skills for the role, but I never heard back. The recruiter was not great, and I was put off by the lack of attention and response from the person trying to hire me. It's all about relationships; you never want to burn a bridge.
- What makes you want to leave your current job?
Sales Assistant
Didn’t get an offer, but the experience was overall efficient and quick, would recommend to those who are interested in building a career in sales. Great company and products, very large HR infrastructure.
- Can you tell me about a time you lost a sale and explain the reasons behind it?
