Intern
After an initial screening, expect a quick reply in 1-3 business days for the next step. The HR person was friendly and responded fast. Then, there's a final interview with the department head or mentor, where they'll ask about your experience and some technical stuff for the job you're applying for. It was a good and quick process overall.
- Can you share your experiences relevant to this role?
- Tell me about your background concerning this specific position.
- What technical knowledge do you have that applies to this role?
Database Engineer
The interviewer was professional initially, but then seemed to interrupt and not listen. I was asking about work schedule flexibility for a graveyard shift, and she mentioned being 'judged' during the conversation. This comment, and the way the message wasn't relayed properly, made the interview awkward. I ended up initiating the end of the call as it was going nowhere and the interviewer lacked empathy. Afterwards, she tried to do damage control via message, which I didn't respond to.
- Regarding the work schedule and pay, is there any flexibility?
- What are the compensation details and is there flexibility in the work schedule?
Social Media Specialist
The HR contact was friendly and offered clear guidance throughout the hiring steps. They initiated with a preliminary call. Following that, the role required completing an assessment before further consideration. Although I didn't pass the assessment, the initial HR conversation was positive and straightforward.
- What motivated your application for this role?
Digital Success Manager
So I went through three interviews and I eventually got a job offer. I was told that they needed an updated NBI Clearance so I went ahead renew the NBI Clearance that I have. The rest of the requirements I also had. The issue was this- as soon as the job offer was emailed to me, I texted up the HR Employee of KMC Solutions who sent me the job offer to ask if there's a way to still negotiate the basic salary but she did not reply. After a few days, I sent an email thinking maybe she did not receive my text but again I got no reply. My job's first day was supposed to be in October but even before or on the actual day of the first training day, there was no response. The HR Employee ghosted me. Take note, I am not just an applicant, I was already being offered the job. I also did not say in my text and email that I would not be accepting if the job if there was no way to negotiate the base pay, honestly, I might have accepted the job still even if there was no way to negotiate the salary had the HR Person been courteous enough at least to reply. KMC Solutions, the job offer stage is sort of the courting stage to make the job applicant say YES to the job. Is that really how you treat your would-be employees who passed your evaluation? Somehow, I felt that I saw a glimpse of how I would be treated as an employee, had I accepted it, that I would just be ignored should I have concerns as an employee so I decided not to accept the job offer. I felt that it was so rude of the employee to not even acknowledge my question. Presuming this happened because the HR Department is understaffed, still, there is no reason to treat applicants the way I was treated. It was very unprofessional.
- Can you describe your previous role's objectives?
- What were your goals when you were in your previous position?
