Very professional with two people. Lots of questions about my background and experience. Very friendly conversation, but it wasn't clear to me what would happen next. They made me an offer right away.

What's important is wanting to stay for the full duration of the training, and being able to justify a genuine research interest in the pancreas. People like that are currently sought after. Aiming for the full duration directly makes you a privileged candidate. It makes complete sense to position yourself on the topics you want to examine more closely, and for the department to align itself strategically in candidate selection accordingly.

The interview was a phone call lasting about 20 minutes. First, they explained the position and the scope of work. Then, they talked about the hospital in general. After that, they asked personal questions about my motivation and qualifications. I then had the chance to ask my own questions. Finally, they mentioned safety measures. Overall, it was quite manageable, and the person on the phone was very friendly and aimed to get the most out of the conversation.
