First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Klaviyo.
Business Development Representative
First, I had a quick chat with a recruiter about my background, SDR/BDR stuff I'd done, and what I was hoping for next. They also told me more about the company, the team, and what doing well there means. Then, I talked with the Inbound BDR Manager. It was more chill and we got into what I'd actually do day-to-day, how I find leads, deal with different types of leads, and manage my sales pipeline. The manager also asked some what-if questions to see how I'd figure things out and manage my time. After that, I got an email assignment to write a sample prospecting email based on a scenario. They wanted to see if I could make outreach personal, show I get the product, and get the value across fast. Next up was a practice call with someone on the team. I got info beforehand to prep like it was real. They checked my tone, how I structured the call, how I handled pushback, and if I could steer the conversation. The last interview was with the Head of BDR. It was a bigger picture chat about my career plans, why I'm driven, and if I fit the company vibe and future plans. It was also my time to ask about growing, how the team develops, and what they expect.

Business Development Representative
The interview process was genuinely the best & smoothest I have ever done. I've done many SDR interviews at other top brands (Snowflake, Databricks etc.) and all of them would leave you in "limbo" (i.e. no feedback despite them progressing you) and include countless pointless stages which add no real value. Throughout the entire process with Klaviyo, I felt engaged, valued and subsequently it was a large driver towards me accepting a role. Special thanks to Louis Eliades, Olivia Dorval & Dan Menasche. Genuinely a flawless process in my eyes! From the start of my application to the offer was around 3 weeks.

Business Development Representative
I applied for the BDR position at Klaviyo and was set up for a 30-minute Zoom interview with a recruiter. After confirming, I noticed I didn't have a Zoom link. I emailed the recruiter about it, and they initially suggested checking my calendar. I told them I only got a confirmation and asked them to check or send the link. After that quick exchange, I never heard back, and the interview didn't happen. No one followed up or explained why. It was a disappointing experience because of the lack of communication and follow-through. Candidates put time into applying, so basic things like making sure interview logistics work should be expected.
