First up was an hr phone check. Then, I had to do 3 codility tests. After that, I interviewed with 3 team members where we discussed technologies like browser, js core, vue, and performance optimization. We also talked about my past work experiences and soft skills. Finally, there was another interview with 1 hr. The hr will send the result mail afterwards.

I got a call offering the Strategy Manager role. The initial process went well, and an interview was scheduled two weeks later. The interview with the Hiring Manager was pleasant; they explained the new role and its importance. They briefly mentioned the interview process, but the recruiting team was supposed to provide more details. After the interview, I thanked them and asked about the next steps and feedback timeline. I received no response. I followed up a week later via message with no reply. I then sent an email in the third week and finally got a response stating they would not proceed with my application. It's disappointing to be ghosted in this digital age; candidates should be informed professionally, even if they aren't a fit. Transparent communication is key to a positive experience.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I checked company reviews before applying for this Senior HR Admin role in Malaysia. The interview was with a Singapore HRBP, as there's no HR manager locally. They mentioned the schedule could change last minute. During the interview, they revealed the position is actually a recruiter focused solely on recruitment across all countries, meaning local HR cannot hire their own staff. It felt like a big trap! The interview process has 4 rounds, which seems like a waste of time and effort since it's not a manager role but just a senior executive position.

So, for the first interview, it was online. I met with HR, the dev team, and the QA manager. I talked about my testing experience and showed them how I'd make test cases for a webpage. I also said I'm fine working with clients if needed, and explained how I prioritize bugs and manage them. Then, I had another interview with the engineering manager. We talked about some tough times working with others and how I made testing a more collaborative effort. Lastly, I shared my future plans, like getting better as a QA engineer by always learning and helping shape our QA approach.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Could you explain your method for prioritizing bugs and your approach to managing them as a QA engineer?
  • Tell me about any issues you've faced when collaborating with coworkers in your past jobs.
