I started with a phone call with the Intern team to figure out where I'd fit best and talk about my interests and experience. After that, I had a Skype video chat with someone from the Development team. In that meeting, I had to show what I know, discuss my skills, and explain why I'm keen to learn about Kiva.

Technical Coding Behavioral

It started with a recruiter call where the person didn't seem very tech-savvy, just using buzzwords. Then I had a chat with a Chief Engineer. The main part was about a 4-hour interview session with no breaks. I was asked technical questions like reversing an array using binary swap, calculating business days between two dates, and a tricky leap year/century date calculation, which the interviewer admitted was a 'work in progress.' I felt I did well, but they said they needed someone more senior in PHP, which was frustrating since they didn't ask PHP-specific questions and could have seen my resume earlier.
