I had a 45 minute call with the recruiter, it was mostly a casual get to know you chat and they were really nice. The next step would have been a technical interview and then a final onsite presentation.

So I got this job opportunity for a Biomedical image analysis software dev role. A principal investigator/engineer person reached out to me. He has a lot of research background. He told me the job is half software, half algorithm development. The first round was a technical screen where they asked me basic stuff about C++, OOP, and computer architectures. I think I didn't get the job because I don't have enough experience in general purpose software development.

Confirmed questions4 questions

It was a 30-minute interview. We went over my resume, and I did some pseudo-code. The pseudo-code was an easy Leetcode Stack question. There were also some behavioral questions using the STAR method. Overall, it felt pretty easy.
