They asked me a bunch of questions about the job. I was given situations and they told me about the company and its mission. It was a pretty standard interview.

It was a really straightforward interview. They cared more about your personality and if you'd fit the store's vibe than your actual selling skills. Having sales experience wasn't essential, but you needed to be a quick learner and able to adapt. They seemed to really emphasize the company culture fit.

So, first I chatted with the HR Director, Janice Klaiber. She was super nice, professional, and really knew her stuff. She totally sold me on Kittle's culture, which is all about Servant Leadership, something I've experienced before and really liked. After that, she sent me to the actual store to meet the manager I'd be working with. He was also a great guy, with tons of experience and knowledge about the business. What I really appreciated was that he was upfront about the salary – no BS, just real numbers that actually matched what I'd seen in salary reviews online. It's refreshing to meet someone so honest!

Behavioral Technical Other

Got a reference from a long-term employee, then a manager called. I missed the call and called back, but no answer for days. So I went to the warehouse and asked to see the delivery manager without an appointment. He came out, greeted me well, and gave me a tour. He asked about open positions I liked and talked more about those, and also about others. Then the assistant operations manager, who was excited about my reference and answers, took me for an interview. Later, the delivery manager took me upstairs and talked about the company. The operations supervisor joined us, and he was super happy to meet me because he's known my reference for 19 years. He said I was a really positive candidate. The last step was the HR manager interview, which needed a separate appointment. This final interview involved paperwork, a detailed interview, and then good feedback on my answers. She told me about a drug and physical test I needed to pass for an offer. She called the same day to schedule it, and it happened less than five days later. After passing, she called the same day and said if I signed the next day, I could start work the following day.
