I had two interviews that went pretty well, but the third one was really rough. It felt like an interrogation, and they made me feel bad about wanting to leave a company that had just gone through layoffs. They even asked me to send over confidential work samples to prove I wasn't exaggerating my experience. Because of this, I decided to pull out of the running, even though they said I was the top candidate. I told HR about my concerns when I withdrew. Then, the person who made me feel bad called me out of the blue. They started by apologizing, but then said it's just how interviews are done and they didn't do anything wrong. I felt really gaslit and knew I made the right choice, especially after reading other reviews about how toxic the workplace is. I was pretty disappointed because I thought I'd be happy at Kith.
