First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Kirby Risk.
Operations Intern
I applied for the internship and got a quick response from HR to schedule a call screening. During the screening, they shared details about the internship like pay and hours, and also asked me some questions. I heard back from them pretty fast after the call screen. The whole process was well-organized and efficient.
- Can you share an instance where you experienced a personality clash with a coworker and describe how you handled it?
Engineer
First, I talked to an HR person on the phone to see where I'd fit best. They were really nice and put me at ease. Then, I had an in-person interview with two engineers and another HR person. We had a really good conversation, lots of laughs. The questions were pretty standard, and they were keen to hear my questions for them. The interviewers were a great team.
- How would you propose a change if you saw an opportunity for improvement within the company?
Inside Sales
I received a call in the afternoon. We talked a bit about the job details, the opportunities available, and what skills they liked to see. We also discussed work hours and my availability. They were pretty understanding that I was a student, but we couldn't quite find a time that worked for me to be able to work.
- Regarding your current schedule, what hours are you able to work?
Supply Chain Analyst
The interview was very formal and to the point. The HR and hiring manager were friendly and polite. The office was clean and separate from the manufacturing area. The directions provided for the interview were easy to follow.
- Describe a time you struggled to connect within a group setting and explain how you managed that situation.
