Kings Island Interview Questions
& Process

The interview process was pretty straightforward. You'll chat with the Area Manager and an area supervisor. They'll probably ask around 5 questions total. I was in a group interview with two other candidates. They asked everyone the same questions in order, so if you were last, you already knew your question and had time to prep an answer. Questions included things like 'tell me about your past experiences?', 'use this spiel and sound as enthusiastic as possible' (they give you a paper with a ride spiel, you just gotta read it out loud), 'Why do you want to work at Kings Island?', and 'What rides would you want to work on?', etc.

I sent in my application online back in late December. About four weeks after that, I got a phone call to schedule an interview. I was one of the first people to interview for the new season. When I showed up for my interview slot, it turned out nobody else had signed up for that time, so it was just me and the interviewer. It was a really easy and laid-back experience.

It was a quick and simple interview, but it really made me think and work. Walking in was a bit intimidating at first, but the hiring team was really welcoming and enthusiastic. I appreciated that they always smiled and provided feedback after the entire process. At the end, they described different locations where I could work, and for those hired, they gave us a choice of where we'd like to work in the park.

When I scheduled my audition time online, it looked like a 15-minute one-on-one audition slot. But be ready for lots of other people and waiting up to 3 hours for your turn. The actual audition itself wasn't too bad, just a scream and an improv monster walk, but I wish I'd known it would take up my whole evening. The people were nice and easy to work with.
