Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Kinetic Vision.
Software Developer
I first had a chat with HR over the phone, and then I did a zoom interview with a group of 5 people from different departments. They wanted me to give a presentation on a recent project I worked on and explain the tech stack. After that, they asked me some questions about the project, my experience in general, and what my future goals are.
- Could you describe a project you have been involved in?
- Tell me about a project you are working on.
- What technologies did you utilize for this project?
Software Engineer
I had a virtual interview with 3 people. They were really nice and encouraging. They mostly went over my resume, asked what kind of roles I'd be interested in, and I got to ask them about the co-op experience. I had a few issues because I'm new to things like GitHub or project management tools, but it wasn't anything too surprising. The only bummer was that I didn't get any follow-up about not getting the job.
- Regarding GitHub, what branching structures have you employed for project management?
Software Engineer
It was a pretty normal interview process for the job. Nothing unexpected, but you should show some of your code to prove you can code.
- What kind of work environment do you like best?
