I applied online and got an email with a link to record myself answering a screening question. Then, there was a group video interview. While I don't mind the idea of group interviews, mine had 10 candidates, which is way too many. It was hard for the interviewers to get a good sense of everyone since only a few could be seen at once, and people were fighting for attention. They did call on us individually so everyone got to answer, but it was difficult to keep track of everyone by the end.

Applied through the website, which also included a bunch of questions, both short and long. Next, I had to submit a 1-minute video answering the question 'What's the best subject line you've ever seen'. Finally, there was an open house group interview with the president, a co-founder, and about 10 other people. They mentioned they interview a bit differently, and I was skeptical at first, but it turned out to be a really great conversation. It was cool meeting so many qualified professionals and hearing about their experiences. Even without a callback, I feel like it was a valuable experience meeting people 'like me' but also very different. It seems like a really neat company.

I submitted an online application, which was pretty in-depth, asking eight questions to answer along with my resume and cover letter. After that, I was invited to a 1-hour online group interview with the two company owners. They first shared more about the company's mission, values, and future plans. Then, each of us in the group had to answer about 4-5 questions in turn, with the starting person rotating. This was my first group interview, and my first online one too. It felt a bit strange; everyone had limited time to speak, and the focus was divided. Honestly, I wasn't a big fan, and I'm not sure it accurately represented us, but they seem to think it's a good method.

They start with screening questions in the application itself. If you pass that, you get invited to a group zoom interview. I'd never done one before so I accepted. Won't do it again. The only upside is that the company owner is there and they seem like nice people who care about their company. But as a candidate, you have to share personal info and think on your feet in front of other candidates. On camera. For an hour. It's not an experience I want to repeat. It's wild that a company that supposedly cares about employees would put them through that as a first impression.
