Process Engineer
The interview process for a Process Engineer at Kimberly-Clark is structured but thorough, designed to assess both technical knowledge and problem-solving skills in a manufacturing and engineering context. It typically starts with an online application and resume screening, where recruiters look for relevant experience in process optimization, lean manufacturing, and chemical or mechanical engineering.
- How would you go about implementing a change within a medical system?
Process Engineer
I went to an Engineering Job Fair on campus where Kimberly Clark had recruiters. I talked to one recruiter, who then introduced me to a senior recruiter. He set up an interview for the next day. There were two other candidates interviewing simultaneously. Another recruiter was outside with candidates, answering questions and getting to know them. The interview lasted about 45 minutes. The recruiter took detailed notes. The questions were standard Kimberly Clark behavioral questions, not about my resume or personal background. I asked him some questions afterward. He said I'd hear back in about two weeks, but it's been a month.
- Describe a situation where project requirements shifted but the deadline remained constant.
Process Engineer
This was the fastest interview process ever. I got an offer in 5 days! First, there was a 30-min chat with HR about cultural fit, then a 90-min technical interview with 3 people from my potential team. They were all super nice and made me feel comfortable. It felt like a mutual check for compatibility.
- Can you describe a past project using the STAR method?
- Tell me about a situation from your work experience using STAR.
- What was your task in a past project, explained via STAR?
