First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Kimberly-Clark.
Brand Manager
The interview process started with a networking event the night before, hosted by two Brand Managers from Kimberly Clark. This dinner and bowling event was for all MBA marketing students and served as a screening to decide who would get an interview the next day. Candidates selected that night were called to schedule their interviews. I had two interviews back-to-back, each lasting about 45 minutes. The first was a behavioral interview, and the second was a case interview. I received an offer about 7 days after my interviews.
- What attracts you to working in Neenah, WI?
- Can you share an example of an advertisement you found effective and explain why?
Associate Brand Manager
I was flown out for a half-day consisting of 3 interviews back-to-back. After the interviews, one of the interviewers took me to lunch in their cafeteria before I was let go. The interview process is really structured. Each person interviewing me had a packet of questions. Every page was about a specific topic, and the interviewer would pick one question from that page to ask. They only asked behavioral questions, and most of them were a little different from the usual behavioral questions I'm accustomed to. They want you to answer using a very structured method like CAR or STAR. Don't try to go off-script or be too creative with how you answer. This interview process is like a machine, and you need to be the part that fits in correctly.
- Describe a situation where you made a high-risk decision.
Associate Brand Manager
It's a standard interview process. The only thing that's a bit different is that you should be familiar with some KC brands, have a favorite one, and know why. They use the STAR grading rubric for the interview, so make sure you're ready to answer using the STAR format.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- What is your motivation for pursuing brand management?
- Why are you interested in marketing?
