The interview process was very nice until the last round, which was the third round. My interview was rescheduled multiple times, each time on the same day and within an hour of the original time. I'm pretty understanding and know what startup/tech life is like, so it didn't bother me. A few hours after the final interview, I received a tentative offer pending reference checks. The next day, my references were contacted, and a few hours later, I got the formal offer. I tried to negotiate the salary because it was lower than I expected and lower than what I had stated in every interview when asked about my salary expectations. I was told they'd have to ask for approval but that I 'probably wouldn't get that amount.' This comment felt unprofessional. After the weekend, I got a very generic email saying my salary negotiation was discussed internally and they were 'not moving forward with my application.' I had already received a tentative and formal offer, so it's not about my application anymore; they withdrew my offer. I can accept that the company and I aren't a good fit and can even forgive unprofessional comments like telling me I probably wouldn't get the salary I asked for. But, as a company, please learn this: if a candidate expresses a salary expectation you can't meet in the first interview or screening call, don't move them to the second and third rounds and extend an offer.

I had a video chat for a second round interview with the hiring manager. He was late and I thought he was very disrespectful and narrow minded. He asked about my sales experience, which is on my resume, and then said we were done and hung up. It felt like a waste of time.

Applied online and was contacted by the CEO within hours for a Zoom call the next day. The CEO was late and asked basic questions for about 5 minutes before taking a call and promising to call back, which never happened. No follow-up was received regarding the interview process.
