I talked to a recruiter first, and then to the hiring manager. The manager told me I'd be moving on to the next step, but then nothing happened. Honestly, it was pretty unprofessional to be told that and then have it not happen.

I had a phone screen, and then two virtual meetings on separate days. The whole thing went pretty well and they gave me enough time to prepare. Rhonda was awesome and kept me in the loop about everything.

Due to covid the interview process was all through the phone and zoom. Although it was not in person, it was a great interview process. Everyone I interviewed with was down to earth, honest, and genuine. They asked fun questions which helped with the comfort level, and some difficult questions that really made me think. All around it was a terrific interview process.

Technical Coding Behavioral

I was referred to Minute Menu Systems by a recruiter. When I got there, everyone looked really casual, which was a good sign. All four interviewers were nice and had a bunch of good coding questions ready. It wasn't rushed or anything, but they did ask some tough technical questions that they wanted me to handle well. We also looked at some code I wrote for an open-source project. If I hadn't brought code, I would have had to do a technical homework assignment. The interview was as hard as you'd expect for a 'Senior' role, and everything they asked about was relevant to the job. Basically, it was tough but fair and didn't feel off-putting. I got a call from my recruiter about an hour later saying they liked me and an offer was coming. The offer letter was proper, well-written, clearly laid out all the money stuff, and arrived quickly, I think the morning after my afternoon interview.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Several open-ended questions were asked, along with various platform-specific questions to confirm my stated experience.
  • A significant amount of coding was done on a whiteboard.
