It started with a basic phone screening, and then they made me share my screen on a Google Docs sheet and write different types of codes that loop. The job description said I wouldn't need to know how to code and could use Linux clearly, but that wasn't the case. None of the questions they asked were Linux-based. It sounds like they're looking for an Engineer who can code scripts, not a Technical Support Engineer whose job is to resolve technical issues.

Had a short phone chat, not sure how it went, seemed a bit disorganized. I guess I was overqualified but they might have been looking for someone more senior. Then, they invited me for an interview and offered to pay for travel. I asked them to book flights and cover other costs. They agreed and bought the plane tickets. The in-person interview had me meeting with 4 senior people. They each asked questions and gave some small tests. I never heard back after that, and they didn't cover my expenses.

It was honestly one of the weirdest interviews I've ever had. The office itself is really nice, but kind of bare. Everyone working there seemed to be the same – young, fit, white guys. One person interviewing me was sometimes hostile and seemed totally uninterested, but the other two were pretty nice. I got the feeling the company was very strict and not very creative. The welcome was cold, and the whole vibe was just really odd. I didn't get an offer, and they didn't even bother to send a rejection email. I just heard nothing, which is super unprofessional, but honestly, based on the interview, I kind of expected it. A little bit pretentious, too.

I was contacted directly by the CTO for an interview at their New York Office. The first step was a phone interview where they asked basic questions about the work I did during my previous jobs (questions on resume).
