First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Key Benefit Administrators.
Client Services Vice President
It started with a few calls, then a face-to-face meeting. There seemed to be a disconnect between HR and the Hiring Manager. The whole process felt slow and communication was lacking. I don't think the face-to-face interview would have happened if I hadn't followed up. The people seemed nice and professional, and the office was clean. Usually, after a face-to-face, you get feedback on next steps or a simple rejection. So far, I haven't heard back, and the responses about the process have been vague and short. I've concluded they're not interested, but they keep saying they're still reviewing everything. The process seems like a long one, and I've lost interest at this point.
- What were your responsibilities at X company?

Claims Administrator
So I was actually supposed to have a phone interview with a different department, but after chatting with the interviewer, we both decided that my background would be a better fit for another team. It was a really great turn of events! Then, about two weeks later, I had a face-to-face interview, which was actually a video call – pretty neat! After that, they sent me an assessment, and then I got the offer. The video interview and the assessment all happened on the same day, and I got hired the very next day!
- What is one area your previous supervisor would say you need to work on or improve?
Customer Service Representative
I applied online and then got an email asking me to call a number. When I called, I had to give some info. The next day, HR called to set up an interview. Since I live out of state, it took a bit to find a time that worked for me to travel there. When I arrived, I interviewed with the manager and team leader. They asked me some questions and what I'd do in a couple of strange situations, but it was pretty easy. Then I filled out the application and left. I was emailed an assessment to take, which was really unusual. I'm not sure how that test would help pick a good Customer Service Rep. It was a bit stressful. I got an offer a few days later.
- What would you do if a customer insisted on massage therapy which isn't covered by their medical plan?
Claims Adjuster
Started with a phone call, then came in for a face-to-face meeting. It was a really straightforward process and the atmosphere was welcoming, which put me at ease. While I was there, I filled out an application and they answered all my questions about benefits and such.
- Can you describe a time you had a conflict with a coworker and explain how you resolved it?
