First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Kettle.
Production Designer
I had an initial chat with a recruiting firm, and it went fine. They didn't give a lot of details about a typical day at the company though. Then, I had a second interview with someone from Kettle. It became clear I wasn't the best fit for what they needed right now.

Social Media Manager
The interview process was really straightforward and not too challenging. Everyone I met was really pleasant, and the overall feeling was consistent with what others have shared. I'm really happy with the outcome and I love my job. It was a pretty smooth experience overall.

Producer
Applied for a Sr. Producer role and got reached out by the recruiter. I have years of digital agency experience at the production level and have managed A+ brands and mentored teams of producers/product members. While, I had a great experience in the beginning and middle stages, the ending resulted in a very negative and unpleasant candidate experience for Kettle. I had 4 rounds where I initially met with: 1. Recruiter, 2. Hiring Manager (exec producer), 3. Cross-Functional Manager (another exec producer) and 4. A joint meeting with the CEO and yet another exec producer. I had a great conversation in the initial recruiter screening and additional 2 rounds of interviews - even receiving very positive positive feedback in that I had "another wonderful interview". All this led up to a final round interview with the CEO and another cross-functional exec producer. The meeting was only 30 minutes on zoom and I was very flexible with their scheduling as generally the process felt very rushed (all the rounds were across 2-3 weeks. So since things were moving so fast it felt like we had a good match. I felt rushed to address my entire work history in a few minutes when the CEO asked to run down my experience. However, I still felt that I nailed the interview to the best of my ability but honestly my experience should have spoken for itself. I immediately sent thank you emails and followed up with the recruiter asking for next steps. She advised that I should hear back next week (this is on a Thursday). A week goes by and it was absolute radio silence. I wait until Friday (8 days since I interviewed last) and asked where they are in their process and if they've made a decision. I receive an email saying "thanks for my patience but we've gone a different direction." I was upset that they clearly strung me along and rushed me through the process only to make me wait and then they seemingly "forgot" to follow-up with me and only did once I pinged them first. Additionally, I replied and thanked them for my consideration and asked for feedback. And I never heard back from them.... I'm sorry, whether or not I receive an offer, the fact that I met with the CEO and then I receive a rejection email (8 days later) felt very cold and not a candidate experience that anyone strives for. A quick 5 min phone call explaining the reasoning behind your decision would have meant the world to me and would have left me thinking of the company in a more positive light. Whereas now I felt dejected and very obvious they came off selfish and only cared about themselves and not at all about the candidate experience for talented people. Look elsewhere!

Strategist
I applied for the Strategist role at Kettle via LinkedIn EasyApply and got a response within a week to schedule an introductory call with a recruiter. The recruiter call was great, she was super friendly and kind. We chatted about my experience and what I'm looking for in my career. She then fast-tracked me to meet with the department lead. The department lead interview was also great, we discussed my past projects and what Kettle is currently working on and what they need in this role. After that, I met with two senior project team members to discuss project/workflow specifics and learn more about the client. The final interview involved presenting a past project to the senior team members and the department lead. I presented something I was proud of and answered questions and discussed my thinking and the project. It ended on a really positive note and I felt good about it. The recruiter kept me updated throughout, and all my interactions made me confident this role would be a good fit. They made a really good offer, and I accepted it the same day. The whole thing took about 4 weeks.
