First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Kerr.
Communications Officer
It was a tedious process with 4 rounds: an online assessment, an aptitude test, a secondary questionnaire, and finally a face-to-face panel interview. The panel was friendly, but the questions were tough, and I didn't answer them well enough to get the job.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Manufacturing Test Engineer
I went through three rounds of interviews. First was a 30min phone screen with a recruiter about my background and manufacturing exposure. I couldn't ask them technical questions then. Next, a 30min phone interview with the Repair Supervisor where I got generic questions like strengths, challenging situation, three words to describe myself, and why I applied. They also asked how I'd prioritize 5 services. The last round was a 4-hour on-site with two engineering managers, a technician, and the repair supervisor, including a 15min facility tour. I never got interviewer contact info. A week after, I followed up on the timeline/feedback and got a generic rejection.
- Given five tasks, how would you prioritize them?
- Could you tell me about any test fixtures you've designed?
- Can you provide a summary of your resume?
Manager
The interview felt like a grilling, even bordering on insulting. I felt like they were deliberately trying to make me feel worthless. One of the three interviewers even randomly left the call mid-interview. In the end, I was offered a different role than the one I applied for (which I applied for at the CEO's recommendation). I would never work at a company with such a toxic culture.
- Why do you think this is wrong?
- Why do you think that is wrong?
- Explain the glitches in your thought process.
Product Engineer
It was excessively bureaucratic. There were more than 4 interviews, tests, and psychological evaluations. When I didn't accept the initial offer (I was working at the time), the HR department thought it was absurd that I didn't accept right away.
- Are you able to handle pressure?
- Do you have availability to work overtime?
- Are you available to travel for training and problem-solving purposes?
