First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at KentuckyOne Health.
Activity Based Tech
I had a chat with three people who work here. One was from the wellness clinic, the head of PT, and the main Tech. They started by asking me questions to get to know me and to tell me about the job. I had plenty of time to ask them questions too and get a better sense of the role. After our talk, they showed me around the facility and let me watch some of the rehab sessions. It was really eye-opening.
- Describe a time you solved a problem by yourself. What was your process and outcome?
- Tell me about a time you had to solve a problem without help. How did you handle it and come to a conclusion?
Market Manager
The whole thing started in late summer 2014 when I applied for a different job. I ended up getting a call from the communications director in November 2014. We talked, and he set up an on-site group interview for me in Louisville about a month later. Since I'm out of town, I drove about an hour and a half and did the interview, which seemed to go pretty well. They scheduled me for a follow-up in-person interview, but it was mysteriously cancelled and supposed to be rescheduled after the holidays. However, no date was ever set. Fast forward to late spring 2015, and the communications director called me again, this time about a slightly different role. He mentioned the 2014 position hadn't been filled. The new one wasn't posted yet, but he told me to watch for it and apply as soon as I saw it online. About six weeks later, the job was finally posted. Due to some HR computer system issues/updates, I had to go through the same application process as in 2014, which included not just listing previous jobs, but also some kind of intelligence test. It's quite a lengthy process. The job title the director gave me verbally was different from the posting, which was also different from the description itself. This wouldn't have been a huge deal (if it was the only issue), and could have been sorted out later, but it showed the overall disorganization at KentuckyOne Health. I was eventually called in for an in-person interview with the communications director and another senior executive, and was told decisions would be made in the next couple of weeks. That time passed with no updates. I followed up three weeks later and was told the executive was 'really busy' and hadn't given any feedback yet. That was almost five months ago, and I never heard back about what happened. I checked my account on the KentuckyOne Health site in February 2016, and the position was listed as 'inactive' (not filled) since December 2015, suggesting it was never filled, just like the 2014 one. So, if you're looking for a communications or marketing job with KentuckyOne Health, be ready for a frustrating experience. You've been warned.

Executive Assistant
I applied online. An HR Rep contacted me about two weeks later to set up a phone interview. This call was mostly about me, covering my background, salary needs, and past jobs. The actual admin office called me a week after that for an in-person interview. This interview was mainly behavioral and personality-based questions. I didn't get the offer, but I was a finalist. It seemed like a good place to work.
- Could you tell me about your communication style?
Talent Acquisition
I talked with the Manager of Talent Acquisition. She was nice, professional, and made me feel comfortable. We reviewed my experience, education, and plans to finish my degree. She asked about the applicant tracking systems I've used and my experience in hospitals.
