First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Kentucky Science Center.
Health Education Specialist
The hiring process had 2 interviews. One was in person, the other was over zoom. They let me pick which I preferred, zoom or in person. They did a quick review of my resume. Then they asked a lot of questions about me as a worker, like how I would take leadership and how I am flexible. Lastly, they asked for a 1-5 minute science demo.
- How would you demonstrate leadership?
- How do you exhibit flexibility in your work?
- Can you give a short science demo, about 1-5 minutes long?
Visitor Services Representative
It was a pretty standard interview, nothing out of the ordinary. You'll be interviewed by a group of 3-4 people. They'll ask you about your past experience and jobs, and also try to get a sense of your personality.
- In terms of customer interactions, how would you approach a challenging situation?
Educator
Good interview! Good communication and I interviewed with two managers and a coordinator. Pro tip: Make sure you are thorough with your activity you choose, they will ask follow up questions.
