Staff Attorney
Three rounds of interviews occurred. Common questions were asked, but no hypothetical scenarios. It was a behavioral interview. Don't stress during the interview; they need you more than you need them. Stay relaxed and show sincere commitment and you'll do well.

Law Clerk
I applied for a law clerk job at the KDPA, which seemed like an intern/extern role. I'd just graduated law school and couldn't take the bar exam right away due to relocating. I needed a job for income before getting licensed. When I got to the interview, I was surprised to face three to four attorneys and was asked complex questions about courtroom strategies, which I wasn't prepared for since the job posting mentioned research and admin tasks. I quickly realized they thought I was interviewing for an attorney position, not a clerkship. I told them I'd applied for the clerk role, and despite not being qualified for the attorney job due to licensing, they continued the interview for about an hour and a half. The questions were way beyond what I expected, and I couldn't answer many of them. Later, they explained the clerkship was supposed to lead to a full-time attorney job after passing the bar, but this wasn't in the description. I think the initial contact person didn't read my application properly. The whole experience was frustrating and inefficient.
