First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Kensington.
Supply Chain Specialist
I had a great interview experience with Kensington. The process started with a phone interview and then two on-site rounds. All of the people I interviewed with were friendly and asked very relevant questions about my experience and how I could contribute to the team.
- Can you describe the improvements you made at your previous company?
Sourcing Manager
A recruiter recommended me. First was a phone interview. Then I went for an on-site interview at the Kensington office in Redwood City. I interviewed with five people. The boss seemed to think I would leave soon, but I wasn't sure why he thought that. I had been at my last job for 20 months.
- What would be your commute situation to work?
- How would you get to work?
- Tell me about your commute from Gilroy.
Channel Marketing Manager
I met with 3 people for 45 minutes. The first person I met with was the VP of HR. She asked a lot of questions that didn't really seem related to the job or the company. Interestingly, everyone was wearing jeans, and I was dressed in a business suit. If I had known about the dress code, I probably would have worn flip flops.
- The VP of HR focused on how long I had been at each job instead of focusing on my skill sets.
- The VP of Sales seemed lost.
- They focused on the culture of past companies.

The entire hiring process took about four weeks to complete. I started with a phone chat with the recruiter, then I had a meeting with the hiring manager, and after that, I had two phone chats with my peers. Finally, I met the rest of the team. I found the interview process to be clear and effective. Both the recruiter and the manager kept me informed about the stages.
- What would your manager say if asked to describe you?
